Jane Alexander is a Scottish novelist, visual artist, illustrator, designer, and short story writer originally from Aberdeen. Jane Alexander's distinguished acting career has encompassed a Tony® Award (for The Great White Hope) and six other nominations; she is also a four time Oscar® nominee (including for All the President's Men); she is the author of Command Performance, documenting her tenure as chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts from 1993-1997, and she is Commissioner of Parks, the Taconic Region, for New York State.
